DAVIS, Nellie Thorne - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Nellie Faye Davis, 83, of Brownsburg, a former Warren County resident, died Tuesday, (October 7, 1975) at the Meadow Heights Nursing Home in Williamsport. She had been a patient two weeks. For the past seven years, she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Clossey in Brownsburg. Born April 26, 1892, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia Thorne. In 1910 in Warren County, she was married to Guy L. Davis, who died in 1966. She had resided in Judyville for several years. She was a 50-year member of the Judyville United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Rocky Dale Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include three other daughters, Mrs. Edell Miller of Middleburg, Mrs. Eleanor Fink of Henning, Ill., and Mrs. Genevieve Warbritton of Attica; a brother, Earl Thorne in Texas; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothrs. Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Friday at the Fisher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. - jlr
